Natural Reaction - A group exhibition of thirteen artists with different disciplines demonstrating the intimate relationship between artist and environment: a response to the warmest decade in history, the rising temperature of global unrest, the struggle for human existence and the planets capacity to withstand the battle for limited resources. These artists all are in direct conversation with their natural environments by building on a very personal relationship to their surroundings in their work (actual or imagined).
Chosen for their differences as well as their similarities the artists ask the viewer to look, to actually see, what, can be renewed, renamed, and revived and to know that this process, both contemporary and ancient, is as timeless as human insight is limited and formed by time.
Natural Reaction is curated by Heskin Contemporary at a temporary location at Williamsburgs Metropolitan Green in Brooklyn. It is a satellite show opening in conjunction with Heskin Contemporarys Nikki Lindt, recent paintings and works on paper opening February 18th at their Manhattan location. Natural Reaction is a group show reflecting and expanding on the themes in Nikki Lindts work.
